How much should I take? Dosing is everything…

The age-old question with cannabis dosing is “how much should I take?” The answer, unfortunately, is not so simple. It largely depends on your weight, as well as the reason you’re taking it (for pain, for anxiety, etc), do you drink alcohol, are you taking prescription medication. Start low and slow, and increase your dosage until you find the sweet spot for you. And remember, everyone is different! What works for your friend might not work for you.

There are 2 basic levels of CBD intake – 20-40mg and 60-130mg. At the lower level, we typically see a reduction in inflammation after 7-10 days. At the higher level (40mg or more for 40 days or more), we see a reduction in blood sugar levels (A1C).

Long-term dosing of CBD has many other benefits for the human body, including lower blood pressure and sometimes lower cholesterol. In my experience, people taking CBD long-term also tend to experience improved brain function. This is likely due to the exposure to terpenes and other compounds found in CBD.
